The Threat Intelligence Business Unit of the Outpost24 Group is an award-winning cyberthreat intelligence provider with HQ in Barcelona and engineers working around Europe and Asia. Our company brings together a multidisciplinary, international team in a fast-paced working environment.

We are looking for a talented and passionate Engineer to join our Sources team. For this role, you’ll need a creative nature, proactive spirit and the ability to think laterally. We care just as much about what you know already as what you’ll learn here after.

As a Cyberthreat Sources Developer, you and your team will own the data sources. You will be working on building and integrating sources for our Data acquisition system. This involves analyzing websites, Forums or messaging platforms and working with the product team to properly ingest the data into our systems. You are comfortable building scraping tools in Python and are comfortable analyzing HTML and client-side JavaScript, preferably familiar with Selenium or another rendering solution.

Working closely with the team lead and product management, you can quickly take requirements to a running data source in production. This role will have you developing and maintaining scrapers and crawlers to enhance data volume and quality for the downstream systems.

The Role

• Develop python crawlers/Scrapers/API-clients using modern engineering techniques
• Work in an agile environment
• Write clean, readable, and efficient code, including tests
• Participate in planning meetings and provide reasonable estimates
• Contribute to technical debt tracking and improvement plan
• Research new technologies, libraries, models, and tools
• Ready to work in the office or fully Remote
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python
• Familiar with crawling libraries like “Beautiful Soup”, Scrapy, Selenium
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Basic CI/CD knowledge
• Experience using Git in a professional environment
• Experience with bot detection like Captchas
• Expert in working with REST APIs
• Professional English
